Several years ago, during my mother's final illness we were talking about the purpose of our lives. I asked her what she loved to do most. I asked what she did best of all the many jobs, projects and hobbies she had. I was wondering where I was headed and had begun exploring the twinkle of an idea that if I loved something then I would be better at it. And if I was that good at something and loved to do it, wouldn't that be my life's purpose?
"I grow beautiful roses," she said.
This was true. Her unerring instincts were phenomenal and the resulting beauty and breathtaking aroma filled the yard and the house every summer.
I pointed out to her that perhaps she should make that her life's mission: grow the best roses, and make a living at it.
Her response? "Can't make a living growing roses."
I will always carry the memory of the defeated air surrounding her when she admitted that her heart's desire was not something she felt she could do and make a living at it.
After reading Alan Tutts' Keys to Power Prosperity, I realized that he had gathered experts' voices, his own experience, fool-proof affirmations and advice on making subliminal tapes that focus on what each of us need to hear for healing and growth. His engaging book enlightens readers and pulls them along to a place, taking them step-by-step, where each person can see the prosperity that awaits them. Everyone deserves to know his or her heart's desire and to pursue it, confident that this pursuit can also be wildly profitable.
I feel blessed by this book; you should too. - Pamela White
